With the sudden closure of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mid-Maine, more than 30 children from low-income families at Connor’s Elementary School were left without organizational support for their mentoring matches with Bates College students. Without immediate action, these children risk losing critical, life-changing relationships.
BBBS of Bath/Brunswick is stepping in to ensure these matches continue and to expand our reach into Lewiston — a community with some of the state’s highest poverty rates and greatest need.
This is a rare opportunity to make an immediate and lasting difference in the lives of children in Androscoggin County. With your support, we can ensure these children don’t lose hope, but instead gain the mentors and opportunities they deserve.
