For decades, longtime volunteer Cleora “Perk” Ramsay (right) quietly made a big difference for local kids.

She started Perk’s Place at Rocky’s Ace Hardware in Bath, selling donated items from two colorful end-cap displays tucked into the store. What began as a simple idea has grown into a powerful, creative fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bath/Brunswick.

Today, Perk’s Place is lovingly carried on by Perk’s daughter, Ann, and her husband Eric. Thanks to their dedication, BBBS receives steady, residual support for our programs.

Next time you’re shopping at Rocky’s Ace Hardware in Bath, stop by Perk’s Place—a garage-sale-style display located at the ends of the bird feed aisle. You’ll find a rotating variety of donated treasures, and 100% of proceeds support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bath/Brunswick.

Perk's Place happily accepts small, gently used items such as:
– Fiction and non-fiction books (no textbooks, encyclopedias, or religion-based books, please)
– Picture frames, vases, figurines
– Holiday décor
– Small plants
– Puzzles, board games, and other trinkets

Please note:
– Items must be in good used condition
– No clothing or large/bulky items
– Items should be small enough to display on a store end-cap
– Items should not compete with items sold by Rocky's Hardware.
